What's new in WebSphere Business Integration Connect Version 四.2
WebSphere Business Integration interoperability Customers can use the
WebSphere Business Integration HTTP adapter to plug into WebSphere
Business Integration Connect for enterprise integration needs, which
strengthens the foundation from which the community trading environment
is based.

WebSphere MQ
Customers can use WebSphere MQ, a product within the WebSphere Business
Integration portfolio, to run the Advanced and Enterprise editions of
WebSphere Business Integration Connect. WebSphere MQ also ensures
reliability of components because of scalability, and it provides secure
inbound and outbound delivery of information to trading partners.

WebSphere Application Server (now embedded as a runtime)
Customers can use WebSphere Application Server for application server
needs. Installation and configuration time and skill-set dependence are
reduced due to the fact that WebSphere Application Server runtime is now
installed and configured automatically, providing a runtime environment
on top of which WebSphere Business Integration Connect sits.

InstallShield installation
Customers can set up their first Community Console, the build-time and
management-time tooling, with greater speed and ease, reducing time to
production, helping with trouble-free installation, and enabling rapid
initial partner connection.

User-based access rights
Customers can control which data and information is shared with which
trading partners, and trading partners know the data they receive is
exactly what they need, preserving the integrity and security of

Protocol management
Customers can define and use connections based on any incoming or
outgoing B2B protocol, and new trading partners are connected quickly

Document viewers for multiple document protocols
Customers have visibility to information being exchanged between trading
partner connections based on multiple leading B2B standards, optimal use
of skill sets in analyzing problems, support for RosettaNet, flat files,
and XML-type documents, and the ability to integrate with existing or
future AS/1 and AS/2 implementations.

Community Participant Simulator
Customers can use this function to test their community integration
prior to deployment; pre-testing helps validate effectiveness and
characteristics of the specific trading relationship and ensures
integrity of the deployed production system.

RosettaNet predefined processes
Customers can work with RNIF v1.1 and RNIF v2.0 standards, assuring
integrity in working with RosettaNet partners.
